World’s Fastest Cars
The service technicians at National Transmission have the training, reference materials, and tools to repair any kind of transmission, including domestic, foreign, Asian, and European. The National Transmission team knows that those who love cars, love to keep their high performance transmission in top shape. Knowing that fuel economy, reliability, and performance are important to you, we’d like to share with you a few of our favourite fastest street legal cars available in the market from TheSuprecars.org:
Hennessey Venom GT was the fastest car in the world when tested at NASA on February 14th, 2014 at 270 mph (435 km/h) or 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds. It has a 7.0 liter LS7 Turbocharged V8 Twin Turbo V8 Engine producing 1244 horsepower, with a price tag of $1,000,000 and up. The recorded 270.4-mph run was only in one direction. To be considered legitimate, record attempts usually require one run in each direction.
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport with a top speed of 268 mph (431 km/h) or 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, it features an aluminum, narrow angle 8 Liter W16 Engine with 1200 horsepower, and a base price of $2,400,000. When Volkswagen purchased the Bugatti brand, it had one goal: build the fastest production car in the world and it is still recognized as the world’s fastest production car by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Koenigsegg Agera R hits 260 mph (418 km/h), 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds. From a 5.0-liter V8 Engine with twin turbos, housing 1099 horsepower. It has a base price of $1,600,000 and if you're into snow sports, the Agera R can be fitted with a Ski Box as well as winter tires.
McLaren F1 at 240 mph (386 km/h) or 0-60 in 3.2 second. It may not be the fastest on the list but with a BMW S70/2 60 Degree V12 Engine with 627 horsepower, it is one of the most recognizable on the list. With a base price of $970,000, the F1 is more than just a former world’s fastest car - with its carbon-fiber body, gold-lined engine bay and center driver’s seat, it just might be the coolest car ever made.
