GoogleI live on a government disability allowance (AISH) and drive a late 1970s high mileage pickup truck. Brock Allaire at National Transmission was very accommodating to my situation, and he charged me considerably less than half he would charge for the repair job I needed: I had damaged my Ford C4 tranny case by trying to remove a broken-off oil pan bolt. Brock's crew took out all the inner workings of the old tranny and assembled them in a replacement (used but intact) case, replacing the seals and gaskets in the process. His crew reported that the bearings, oil pump, and other parts were holding up well and that the tranny was not due for a rebuild. He agreed to my mentioning AISH and my situation publicly. He pretty much forgave most of the labour cost and threw in a free case paint job and new vacuum modulator. I highly recommend this shop.
